On the eve of Thanksgiving, many travelers breathed a sigh of relief as the National Weather Service lifted the blizzard watch that had been in effect for the Red River Valley. Icy roads still made travel tricky, but the weather took a break long enough for many (but not all) to travel to their Thanksgiving Day destinations. For me, that landed me close to the International Border, celebrating with my family just a few miles south of Canada. Wish you were here.
